Georgia Aquarium

A few weeks ago my parents were in town and we finally made it down to our new aquarium here in Atlanta. If you go be the first ones in the door and go directly to the big tank on the right.

The building itself is very interesting and I plan to get down there this summer early and late in the day just to take some pics of the building's exterior. This is looking up as you walk in the enterance.

This is a veiw of the big tank thru the big window. That Whale shark is around 14 feet and you are seeing a small portion of the entire window. It is the largest single viewing window ever created, I think? It is massively huge. We stood in awe for at least 30 minutes. We were packed in the room like sardines. I can only imagine what it would be like to be the only ones in the room first thing.

The Jelly Fish section was great and I got a slue of images there. This one is actually close to what this tank was like. The subtle color variations are wonderful. I think we are going back with Jaci's family soon. I can't wait! I wish we had gotten season pass when they were available.

Grace's First Picture

Check her out she is already a looker!

Made you Look!

This is from our first Ultra Sound. She is right at 15 weeks and 4 days. At this point we were not yet able to tell she was a she. That we found out at 20 weeks with another Ultra Sound. Jaci is now 24+ months and looking very good. She is showing but only when you see her in profile.

Now you see the looker I am talking about!

Disney Trip 2006

Disney we arrived at Mickey magical world in Orlando and relaxed by the pool and spent the afternoon planning our following day in the Magic Kingdom. On our way to dinner we walked around the lake our hotel surrounded. We saw bunnies and ducks and butterflies and many beautiful flowering plants.
After dinner Jaci and Glenn watched the evening glow disapear as the night came alive with wonderful sounds of all kinds of creatures. We stopped to feed some ducks along the way and got to bed early. The next morning we were off to the Magic Kingdom. We arrived early to watch the opening celebration and then headed straight down Main Street and thru the Castle and right to Dumbo. Here Jaci and Glenn rode Dumbo together.

At an late lunch we met Pooh and all his friends before heading back the hotel for a break.

On our way out we stopped be Tomorrowland to ride the Buzz Lightyear ride and bumped into Buzz afterwards. We returned that night for fireworks and the Magical Electric Parade.

The next day was spent at the Animal Kingdom. We saw Mickey and all his frinds and wondered the amazing park.

On the safari we saw all sorts of animals including Glenn's favorite, ELEPHANTS!

What a great day! What a fun time!

Lightning Bugs

Lightning Bugs are fun! Tonight we spent about 30 minutes catching lightning bugs out back. The woods are their haven. Here Jaci and Glenn are on the hunt, moving quick before they fly out of reach. As the night progresses they move higher, though I am not sure why? We have thick woods in the back of our property which makes for great hunting around the edges. Anyone know where they go during the day?

Tearful Saturday

Tears at a funeral, swimming lessons and birthday party. Today Jaci attended the Funeral of Brad Noll. Brad, the husband of Ann Noll a dear friend and previous coworker of Jaci's, was also the father of 3 children. At 38 his death was sudden and unexpected. He was a man who gave all for his family and will be missed in a huge way. Glenn is scared to go underwater, probably the fault of his father, oh well. He cried when the instructor tried to coax him to give it a shot. Then we headed to the party of a classmate, Julia, at Monkey Joe's. He would not wish Julia a Happy Birthday and only wanted to jump, jump, jump. After many tears and a quick hug from Julia, he opened up to say Happy Birthday, can I have cake please? At least he said please. And then he an his buddy AJ jumped, jumped, jumped and jumped some more. This afternoon we napped lazily and talked of life. We are so thankful for all we have. It seems Grace, yes a little girl is on the way, will have a middle name though we have not yet settled on the right one.
