Resting and Greeting Family

By noon we were in our room that will be home for the next few days. We started to make a few phone calls and catch up on a lot of needed rest. We had some family visit us on this first day. Jaci's sister Cindy landed herself in the hospital and was not able to visit but Rusty came by and was the first to give Grace a hug and a hold. Then he was off to see Cindy. Jaci's mom showed up with Glenn who was elated and quickly jumped in to help in any way he could. He helped his Dad change the first diaper and spent the rest of the day entertaining his little sister. He is consistantly talking to her andtelling other about her when they walk in. Grier was one of those and was called out by the nurse as Grace's grandpa. Course he is better looking and in far better shape than Grace's dad. Grace has adjusted to life outside the womb very well. She is very pleasant rarely crying. She is feeding like there is no tomorrow and stares at who ever holds her. She loves listening to mommy sing to her and cuddling.

Grace arrives!

At 8:43 a.m. on October 5, 2006 Grace Lucille Fleming was born. She weighed 7 lbs. 5.1 ozs. and was 19 inches long. She was delivered by Dr. Joanne Cox who also delivered Grace's big brother Glenn. She arrived beautiful with a squeal for life shortly after she broke into the light. Mommy was beaming as you can see.

Waiting for Grace

Good Morning,

We sit here waiting in a prep room for them to retrieve Jaci. Soon she will head into surgery. I will join her once the Epidural is in place.
